"I have based this recipe on one that I've seen on a couple of other Cooking Sites.Even though the original was very good, sometimes you can't help but adding your own special tweaks.:)As usual with any of my recipes, please feel free to change any of the seasonings to your own personal tastes. If you like you can add a 1 pound bag of baby carrots before you add the roast. The time that's listed is based upon my crockpot,so adjust cooking times according to yours. If you would like more color, just slightly brown each side in a small amount of vegetable oil.Posted to " ZAZZ "on Feb.14th.,2013."

This roast was good but the meat was chewy and very stringy. Not sure if I cooked it too long or not enough. I did follow the directions.

Awesome indeed! Simple preparation, great flavor, tender meat and delicious gravy resulted in one happy family. I used dehydrated onions (whirred them around in my coffee/spice grinder) rather than the soup mix, threw in some carrots and celery. We'll make this again - thanks shapeweaver!

GREAT FLAVORFUL roast with a TON of gravy! I followed the recipe except that I added 1 cup of water and used more of the juices to make the gravy then shredded the meat and stirred the gravy into it in the crockpot. We enjoyed this with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables for a warm tasty dinner on a cold Winter night. Made for the Billboard recipe tag game.
