I have several recipes for shortbread which have been passed down from my great grandmother (Glasgow born) which my father showed me how to make but this is the first one I have ever tried using brown sugar and I really enjoyed it as did the DH for it gives it a faint taste of caramel which is very enjoyable. The only deviation I made from the recipe was to use the food processor to make the dough so used well chill butter. Thank you dienia b made for Alphabet Tag Game at FF&F. Have just made my second batch but for some reason I could not knead it to a dough it just kept crumbling so lined 2 slice trays and pressed the dough into them and then scored into bars and have just popped into the oven.
