"These have a ton of wonderful flavors, I would suggest only to make them on the grill that's where the flavors come out the best, you'll need half regular fat beef and lean beef, a mix of both."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat grill to medium.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, green onion, garlic, cilantro, ginger root, Thai chili sauces, soy sauce salt pepper, lime juice and zest. Mix well. Lightly shape into 5 half-inch-thick patties.

Step 3

Cover and refrigerate the patties for 1 hour (no more than an hour, there's acid in the lime juice and will turn the meat white).

Step 4

Place burgers directly on greased grill grates and cook until instant read thermometer registers 160 degrees, about 7 to 8 minutes. Turn burgers once while grilling.

Step 5

Serve each burger with a lettuce leaf and bun.

Bergy

This burger is very tasty but I would like some sauce on it, perhaps some teriaki or more of the Thai chili sauce. I still rate it 5 star for flavour.

Burgers are big at my house and these were awesome! I doubled up on the ingredients to feed 7 and some of us bigger guys had two! They are awesome!
