"Another tasty little gem from MS Living, Oct 2012. Super easy to throw together, and absolutely divine with a scoop of vanilla or rum-raisin ice cream!"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees with the rack in the center. Generously butter an 8x11 pan (I lined a 9x9 brownie pan with parchment, then buttered).
Step 2
Whisk together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl.
Step 3
In a separate, large bowl, whisk together the butter, sugar, and egg until pale. About 3 minutes. Add the pecans and the apples and stir until combined.
Step 4
Add the flour mixture to the wet mixture and stir until well combined.
Step 5
Spread the batter in the pan, making sure it is evenly spread. Bake until golden brown and slightly firm, about 40-45 minutes depending on your oven. Let cool on a wire rack for 30 minutes, then cut into bars.
