Smells Like Salad

We made this dessert for Elevenses the other day and enjoyed it with a pot of Earl Grey tea. I used mostly apples as my pears turned almost to mush by the time I got around to using them. I like the direction the recipe took with the (and I'm assuming) gluten-free topping. I prepped my own almond meal and rice flour using brown jasmine rice for fun. The recipe was reduced significantly and I baked the dessert in a 6" cast iron skillet. Made for the FTT game.
