"I love the flavor of Amaretto Sours so always have a bottle of Amaretto on hand. It is not only used in mix drink recipes so a versatile liquor to have on hand. NOTE: Simple syrup is an equal part of sugar and water simmered until the sugar melts."

Step 1

Place ice in shaker and add remaining ingredients, shake well. Fill a rocks glass with ice and pour strained mixture from shaker into glass. Garnish with an orange slice and maraschino cherry. Serve immediately.

Wowsers! This is really tasty. But one of those cocktails that don’t taste like booze, so I am sure they could sneak up on you. I stopped at one :).

I always have some Amaretto at home; not for drinking, since for preparing different kind of dessert and give the particular taste to sweets. I don't drink pure Amaretto, as it is too sweet for me, but in this variation with the sour of the lemon everything changed and, oh WOW, this was good! Thanks a lot for posting this recipe!
