Donate your old cellphone

Just got a new cellphone and didn't know what to do with my old one. I went online to check out who took donated cellphones and decided on a domestic violence crisis center. I didn't know where to find a local one, since they don't publish their addresses for obvious reasons. So I called my local police department and they gave me a phone number to call. They said all I had to do was remove the SIM card from the inside of the cellphone, and mail it and anything else I had with it, like the charger and owners manual, to the PO box they gave me. They give them to domestic violence victims and they can only be used for calling 911, since they have no SIM card in them.

Thanks for the info. I do have an old cellphone and we'll be dropping by city hall tomorrow, so I will inquire. :)
