I never have had issues with the cats knocking down the tree.
I had one that liked to eat plastic tinsel one time. That was a circus with half of it coming out later and the other half not. Never used tinsel again. I bought tons of glass icicles and no more problems.

Now the dog- she ate the gingerbread cookies I had totally dried and then coated them with five coats of polyurethane to preserve. Her dog nose could still smell cookie, I guess. She knocked the whole tree down to get them all, then I spent days worrying the paint would make her sick. But thankfully she was okay. *whew*

Mine have done all of the above to the tree. NOW, they are somewhat behaved, lol.

Cats rule people think there dumb, NO WAY they are smart animals, they know lots they just don't react like dogs do, they do what they want when they want, and they make the best videos, I love cats!

That was pretty funny and I have to wonder if they put catnip on the tree or something... I've only ever had one incident of a small kitten trying to climb the tree (real fairly big), and after it fell on her - she never tried again.

I currently have three cats and none of them have ever attempted to attack my artificial tree.

Real tree or not, my cats love to sleep under/behind it...

My 3 ... no cat nip needed. They just were all over it. A little squirt bottle once or twice, just a little. NO MORE. I hated to do it; but, I wanted my tree up.
