Re: What's Up Today
If I haven't moved my car all day the neighbour gives me call to see I am okay and the DD gives me a call each evening as a check what she would do if I did not answer I don't know for sure but knowing her she would drive the hour to check up on me and I would get a dressing down for not answering the phone more than likely or if I was in a position to not answer immediately (eg taking a call of nature) and then ring back I would definitely get a dressing down, she only operates on a mobile phone no land line, so not totally reliant on the emergency beeper but did your friend use her beeper or like some I know was to proud to do so?

For sure the best is having loved ones check onyou daily.
Lee did she push the button? Was she too far away from the speaker? Even if she was too far away from the speaker if there is no answer after she has pushed the button - No response they check immediately or they have a number for someone near by to check.

If someone can't push the button, they don't know there is a problem. I heard there was one type where they can tell if someone fell but for some reason can not push the button (unconscious) and you said she was outside. They are not perfect but still better than nothing especially for people who live alone.Shadows1 wrote:Don't know the details as she died.

I don't have groundhogs but I got 6 snails this AM. That makes a total of 24 since last friday. They are eying my patio planters and they are not going to get them this year. Last year they ate all six. I found out too late what was attacking the planters. They started at one end and ate their way across one by one. Everyone I checked with to find out what was causing my problem had a different answer & another expensive solution. I finally found the snails in planter #5 and it was too late. So this year I am on to them!!!!!
