Canadian long weekend here, while not the usual family pot lucks this year quietly enjoyed family time. Missed Derf's #recipe1109 which has become our favorite long weekend outdoor barbecue summer sipper. Hopefully I am good to go come the September long weekend to host our usual family get together and get to the making for the Labor Day weekend! Wish all enjoying this holiday a fun weekend and safe travel time.

Think you are wise to get an early start with your winter preparations Shadows, as here in Saskatchewan many times last week our skyline looked like a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds' Yes they are gathering early, said to be a sign of an early winter. Being one who favours warm and sunny so hoping they just want an early start to their trip south.

My youngest daughter is getting married this Saturday so I have been busy and not online as much lately.

Hope your daughter made it home safely Shadows, and her home is still there. My heart goes out to all the storm victims. Do keep us updated.
