Quick question about cooking

Post by Tigger » Thu Oct 05, 2017 6:30 pm

I am making chicken chili and used some diced jalapenos out of the can. Unfortunately, my hand was a bit heavy so it's very spicy now. How can I tame it down? What should I add to calm down the heat  :?:

Try serving it with sour cream, stir in a bit in your bowl of chili. Also serve it with a bun, the bread tones down the heat in your mouth.

I don't have any sour cream or bread. Any other thoughts?

If it was me I would make another batch without heat and mix the two together. Freeze some for later use ;)

I love making chili but in our family (besides me) spice does not go over well.
so when I am adventurous and make our chili a little too hot, I add maple syrup and cinnamon. Keep adding to fit your tastes and to point when chili is not too spicy.

Works every time!!! Unless heat is wayyyy to much

Reduce Spiciness

Hi, try adding dairy products ---- milk – cream ---sour cream - -cheese etc ------- add acid products ---- tomatoes --- puree etc ----- make another little batch far less spicy and add ------- add stock ----- add sugar -----
All work in relation ---Slowly and just little by little ---
