Now that all the smoke is gone...I have been cleaning as there is so much ash everywhere. We didn't have windows/doors open...but somehow the ash got in and covered everything. I am very grateful that we have something to clean!!!

Off to town this morning for dog food and groceries. Will be taking my friend with as she has some mobility issues and her husband is not very patient with that. So most times she comes with me.

We still have not had any rain...just a couple of times it drizzled. Nothing to even get down to the forest floor. Still tinder dry here. We need a good soaking rain.

It's going to be nice catching up with life Patti. How big is your town? They might be low on some things after being closed for some time, do you think?

When I moved here 25 years ago...we had one stop light in town...now we have 3. Our town in small but has almost all amenities. We have 2 supermarkets, a library, community & rec center, small hospital etc.

Yesterday...going shopping was interesting. I have never seen so many empty shelves before. I am sure they will be getting supplies in soon. They did have all the staples though. Very little fresh meat and fish...but lots of fresh produce. Could not find a case of beer (for DH) anywhere!!!!!

I remember threat of flooding some things sold out & it never happened probably 20 years ago. This was when lived near Portland Oregon.

Yesterday (and this morning) our skies are filled with smoke again. Not sure where it is coming from. Some say it is from the south...will find out today. Still cleaning ash out of the house. Fun!
