Dredged Minute Steaks

This is a recipe my Mom used to make ages ago, it was my Dad's favourite way to enjoy minute steak and it was dirt cheap. I make this with either beef, moose, venison, elf or bison, all work well.

That last photograph sells it to me! Great job!

I have never had elf, I don't think PA has a season for them! :o ;) how do they taste? Anything like clowns who taste funny?!?

I think they would be a bit "short" on taste.....

Looks really good. I don't think I have ever seen minute steaks in my store; but, I think they are similar to blade steaks down here. Your steaks look wonderful!!

Thx Kim, minute steak is a tough cut, from the sirloin. It is pouded down with a tenderizing mallet to about 1/4 inch which makes it cook quickly thus having the name minute steak. It looks like this when it's raw.

Cube steak here. Never called minute, lol.
After I posted, I did find a link for minute. And, they are blades here. But a different store had a very thin beef cut. Wasn't blade or cube. Unknown, lol

Crazy all the different names for different cuts isn't it.

Yup, sure is. Every area has their own name for things...

I was wondering what minute steak was too. I love cube steak. My favorite way is for country fried steak and gravy!

Looks lovely Bea. Might have to try it just cooked like you do. ALways thought it might be too tough.
