Fish Tacos

Post by Kchurchill5 » Sat Sep 13, 2014 7:41 am

I made each taco different, so you could see all the ingredients. The rice was just a simple package rice.

I used http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/salsa-verde-10023 and http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/spicy- ... acos-14229
and I used http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/kitten ... -mix-11979 for the taco seasoning used in my creamy sauce.

I used my own Mexican/Southwest spice blend on the fish - pan sauteed.
Avocado, slaw mix, scallions and cilantro, lime; and both sauces.

Looking GOOD! Your whole plate looks tempting - my favorites are the individual photos #3 & $4. I would love either of those MMMMMMM

Thx guys, much appreciated. B, that is your salsa verde. I am going to take a reg pic for your recipe if you want.

Both tacos were identical, but I had to plate so you could see everything. The rice was just a pantry item to use up.
I did enjoy the last taco for lunch. And, I did some good homemade corn tortillas from the Mexican market; definitely worth it now and then.

B - I promised some of the salsa to one of my ladies; and, I will enjoy the rest later this week too with a chicken dish.

I was like Shadows when I first heard of fish tacos. I thought, no I won't like that at all! Then I tried it! I love the fish breaded and fried or oven baked. All is great in a taco! Honestly Shadows, you might like it if you tried it. (Maybe you have)

Kim, I think they look wonderful! We went a mexican restaurant tonight and I almost got the fish tacos. But I was craving nachos so I just ate an appetizer for my entree. Wonderful pics!

Thx Dis. One of my friends was like Shadows too. I finally got them to try it. They are hooked. I like them fried too; but, I was being healthy with the pan saute.
