I think they look decadent Lee. Very nice
Nanaimo Bars were invented in Nanaimo British Columbia Canada. They are an institution!!! There are contests for the best recipes etc etc. Google them

Lee yours looks like one possible recipe and I mean that very nicely!

Nicely done Lee, you made them look delicious!!

Those are very popular in this neck of the woods. This Canadian treat is one you see at weddings, baby showers, bridal showers and it is served during the holidays. There are so many variations of it. I make a variety of them during the holidays which includes mint, orange, cherry and maple filling. All you need to do to change up the filling is add flavoured extracts. I color the filling according to it's flavour, green for mint, orange for orange, red for cherry and a bit of yellow for maple.

Hi Everyone, :-H
Thanks to all of you for your wonderful
comments and compliments. :D
They mean more to me than you will
ever know. :-BD
And a special thank you to Bergy & Bea,
With you both being from Canada and
telling me that the photos look good,
that's the biggest compliment I
could've gotten. :D
Bea,
The variations that you mentioned,
sounds like some really great
ideas. 8-)
What do you think about changing the
vanilla/custard powder to something
like strawberry or pumpkin powder ?

I do not use the custard/vanilla powder in mine, But I think both the strawberry and pumpkin ideas sound divine.
