Chicken Stew with Dumplings

This was a clean up the garden stew - our carrots didn't do well and they were small 2 inc numbers. The onions were mostly 1 inch and the potatoes were small too. So everything went into the pot along with some leeks. Great stew with some really nice dumplings

I am happy to say that the tomatoes were & are the best ever and so were the green beans. Funny weather this year.

Great way to use up those veggies; looks warm and comforting. And, those dumpling look delicious!

Not much of a fan of stewed chicken but that looks yummy!

I think if you're looking up the definition of
" Comfort Food ", these photos would be the
quintessential explanation of that term.
