A little Appetizer

Post by Bergy » Thu Apr 10, 2014 10:32 am

We were taking a friend out to lunch and I served this appetizer along with a glass of Australian Reisling before going. Don't pooh pooh Tofu this is delicious - our friend is NOT a tofu lover and she wanted the recipe she loved them so much. Served with a Thai Chili sauce as a dip

I don't mind tofu, it is quite versatile. But I don't have it often because nobody else I know except my daughter will eat it.

That does look like something her and I would enjoy. Nice photos Bergy.

Nice Bergy! I can not eat tofu, it is a soy product and my body does not tolerate soy.

I definitely would enjoy it ... tofu or not. And yes, tofu gets a bad rap; but prepared correctly, it is pretty good.
Those look delicious. and, I love the sauce to go with it.

Bergy your appetizers look wondeful! As for tofu, thanks to you we have been enjoying the shirataki 'tofu pastas' we have been been subbing them for the regular pastas, allowing us to enjoy many of our family favourites.

I am open to giving that tofu a try, on my list for my next city trip ... I so will be playing with tofu recipes! :)

Thanks all for your comments

Gerry I am so glad that you are enjoying the Tofu Pasta. I love any pasta but it loves my waist line a bit too much so the tofu pasta, as you said, allows me
to enjoy pasta recipes more frequently. Also, it is gluten free for anyone on gluten free diets
I know real pasta won't put weight on if you have it in moderation but when I have it I overdo it.
