***SEPTEMBER Food Preserving Event***

SORRY for being late! It's been a crazy year! But......

I've had the honour and privilege to be asked to host this event for September 2012 here on the RecipeZazz Photo Forum!



It's that time of year again that we start canning, preserving, dehydrating, freezing and storing the bounty of the summer garden!

And even though you may not have a garden, many of us still go to the market or enjoy the seasonal produce at the grocery store.

So, whether you put away shelves and shelves of preserves, stock up your freezer or love to make jellies and jams or even if you like to make flavored oils with what's in season, this event is for you!!

Feel free to use your favorite recipes and post the pics here! You can find TONS of ideas and hints on the site and be sure to check out the Canning, Preserves, Dehydrating & Freezing Forum.

Jelly, Jam, Jerky....YUM! How about tomato juice, garlic/basil infused oil or peach/pear preserves? Anyone for dried fruit mix or fruit leather?

Tempt us with your frozen veggies or canned hot peppers! OOoooohhh! How about Strawberry Infused Tequila just to give you a bit of a hint! The possibilities are endless and endlessly tasty! You name it! Preserve the Summer & Photograph it too!



HOW TO PLAY:

1. Choose any recipe from Zazz that you would use to 'Preserve Summer Memories'. Many recipes will qualify and we won't get picky about it! Make, review, and photograph your recipe and upload your photo(s) to the recipe. Please also post your photo here when your tag is completed.

2. Preferably: - not your own recipe until after you've completed someone else's first. - a recipe without a photo or only a photo taken by the chef author of the recipe. After completing one tag without photos you may tag recipes with photos. - recipes with no reviews for first tag.

3. Please post your tag like this: Axe will make Pickled Beets For Canning # 33611 by Kittencal .

4. Please post your tags starting September 1 and complete all tags by September 30.

5. Tag as many recipes as you like.
