Stuffed Dates

Post by Bergy » Sun Dec 03, 2017 8:02 pm

I used almonds for one and Cashews for the other - It's what I had on hand and they were lovely. I will be sure to have Pecans on hand for the next time.

Thanks 59chevymom. I love these plates too - I bought 6 of them on sale, for a song, from a kitchenware store that was closing.

Ohh my...looking good Berg's!
They look fantastic!
Once a year at Christmas, we go to this market and they have figs stuffed with cream cheese and honey and so sweet and divine..... Diabetic nightmare, so DH is only allowed half, which he spits the dummy at every year!
It's like halving a 2 year old, all over again....
But we just adore them, I might have to try this recipe as DH loves any kind of a nut......Maybe that's why he married me !

Thanks Tisme. I wish we could get fresh figs - in fact as rare as it is they had a box last Friday but they were in deplorable condition and $2.48 each. If they had looked good I would have spent the money and bought some but not when they look like these! I bet I won't see any more fresh ones for another year.

I love stuffed dates! These look great.

I think fresh figs are gone for the season- I'd been hoping to grab a few for a burrata salad but no luck.

Thanks Sue. We sure enjoyed this simple recipe. I don't know when "Fig" season is. All I can say is the box I saw were No Sale for me. Nice to hear from you Sue
