I'mPat's Stuffed Figs

Post by Bergy » Sun Jul 16, 2017 8:01 pm

Still no fresh figs so I ued up the leftover dried ones. I use blue cheese instead of gorgonola (I always have it on hand) Loved the recipe just as much as last time.

Oh, I loved these so much! Can you get fresh figs now, Bergy? We just got some today and they are yummo. I figured if we are in the same time zone, maybe we are in the same fruit zone?!

Malto I don't know why but even when figs are ripe in California Etc we rarely see them. I keep watching for them & hope

What a bummer! My husband loves to just eat them out of hand like any other fruit. But I really like them on salad with balsamic and olive or truffle oil (add some crisped prosciutto, and even better - I even posted that back on food). BTW, we finally are on our last leg of cherries, coming from BC. It slowly works its way up the coast til you guys are our final source. Then we have to wait til they are ripe in Chile again :(
