No smoko is an old Aussie term when the workers took their tea break and would more often as not have smoke (cigarette) hence smoko, mainly referred to blue collar workers many, many years ago

His buddies prefer my lemon meringue pie or apple pie actually. I usually have to send in 2 of them each time as a treat for them all.

I have an excess of lemons thanks to the DD as their tree is dripping in them and DH has a hard time getting through a full lemon meringue pie by himself though he loves it and it has so much sugar in it which is why I won't eat it being diabetic but between the eight of them they get through 2 pies easily. This is the recipe I use
