Apple Raisin Sauce for Ham
I like the addition of apple fora sauce for ham. For the ham steak I buy a 3/4" cut of Black Forest or Old fashioned ham at the Deli. I like that better than the pre packaged ham steaks. Honey Mustard goes well too.

I love a raisin sauce for ham. The apple sounds delicious added to it.

B, have you ever got a boneless ham and cut slices yourself and froze. I did that one year when ham was on sale. It wasn't too big; so, it was definitely worth it. Otherwise I am with you; the slices I am not the biggest fan; the deli has better ham. But, if you get ham on sale; give it a try. I sealed my pieces in my food saver and put them all in a gallon bag. Some I had for dinner; but, I got about 10 nice slices

It is watery when it comes out. I usually dry with a paper towel; then, pan sear in just a little butter or my grill pan which is what I like best.
