Pressure cooking time by weight?

Post by 1Steve » Sat Nov 29, 2014 3:17 pm

OK, I've been using a pressure cooker for years, but I guess when it comes to meat I've always cooked a whole cut, so this question never occurred to me before. If my pressure cooker says to cook a 3 pound roast for 90 minutes, would I cook 3 chops that weigh 1 pound each for 90 minutes? Or would I not multiply by 3 and just cook the 3 for 30 minutes. These cooking times are made up, just as an example, as to whether parts being cooked together are cooked by individual piece weight or multiplied to cook by the full weight? :?:

My mom used to cook with a pressure cooker and I believe you reduce for smaller cuts of meat. you would go by the weight of one chop (I think) I hope someone here would have a more definate answer for you :?
