What WAS on Your Plate & WHAT'S for Dinner 2/1/17-2/2/15
WOW, I'M SO FAR BEHIND TODAY! UP EARLY; BUT, HAD TO RUN TO WORK ... SO TRYING TO CATCH UP
Happy Hump Day Everyone!
Well, forgot to take the garbage out. I left a chicken breast on the counter over night ... SAD. In the trash; and, I forgot to get cat food at the store ... CAT MUTINY IS EXPECTED! So, trying to catch up, lol.
Today's Cooking ...
Me: Cube steak with a simple mushrooms onion gravy over biscuits (biscuits from freezer stash); and, corn and peas. Very Old School comfort food.
Prepping for a beach party tomorrow; but, I do have help. And, it is all crockpot or cold food; disposable stuff (beach party remember, lol) - so actually easy overall.
Prep I do at my friend catering kitchen; so, it's close by and easy to work there.

So What's Cooking?
Today's Cooking ...
Dinner ... Rice topped with my refried black beans from the other night (I'll add salsa to it); finish w/cheese, a fried egg, diced avocado, tomato and olives.
We will call that dinner ... maybe some fruit on the side.
All Ladies+20=26: Beach Party at a Friends Beach House. The friend is away; just using the gazebo. And, beach party ... no cooking, everything disposable. Very casual and easy.
These are in crocks ... http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/stuffe ... balls-6241 w/dips; honey BBQ chicken sausage/onion bites; http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/just-l ... ondue-7881 w/veggies and fruit dippers http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/french ... -way-19043 w/horseradish sauce or mustard sauce on mini rolls
Cold Items ... http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/chicke ... n-sub-5521 a version of http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/waldor ... cups-23741 and, a classic cold cut Italian sub/hoagie
Sides ... http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/moms-c ... salad-1736 a version of http://www.chelseasmessyapron.com/easy- ... sta-salad/ and, http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina- ... ecipe.html
My friend is taking care of desserts (key lime cookies, brownie bites, mini cheesecake); and, 1 guest is is taking care of all drinks (he is playing bartender)

Tonight we are having http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/foreve ... ings-13043 and http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/sautee ... kale-22859. I do not have a deep fryer or even an electric skillet so the chicken wings will be cooked on the stove or in the oven.

I'm not a big FRY gal; although I do have a small fryer. I save that and the big turkey fryer for parties.
I do the wings in the oven too.
