I'm making this soup tonight only with Italian sausage instead of brats

Bean and Cabbage Sausage Soup

1 1/2 pounds Bratwurst sausage (or your favorite sausage; optional to remove from casing)
1 onion, diced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
6 cups chicken broth
1 small cabbage, sliced into bite-size pieces, about 6 cups
1 14 oz. can of diced tomatoes
1 15 oz. can Cannellini Beans, drained
1 tsp. dry oregano
1 tsp. dry basil
Salt & pepper to taste
Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions:

Cook the sausage in a large pot, over medium high heat. When the sausage has browned, add the onions. Cook for 3-4 more minutes, until the onions are tender.
Add the garlic powder broth, cabbage, beans, tomatoes, and spices. Bring to boil; season to taste!
Bring the soup to a simmer for around 25 minutes, until the cabbage is soft.
Sprinkle some Parmasen cheese on top! Serve

I'm scaling back this, #recipe3577
for just my SO and myself.
Adding leftover sliced chicken to make
it more of a meal.

Honestly, I HATE making egg rolls. Chinese and Thai is one thing I normally get take out. I usually go with a friend and get 4-5 dishes; and all share.
But, I do have a place 2 blocks away. KILLER egg rolls. I get them now then as a treat!!!
Hey, my TJ's I think has some good frozen ones too. Makes life easy doesn't it?
