What WAS on your Plate & What's for Dinner Tonight 11/29

Morning Everyone!
I think we missed yesterday; or, at least I did!

Well, Turkey Day got me all out of sorts. Yesterday I prepped for a party I am catering mid day today. So, between cooking and decorating ... I just had more turkey leftovers.

Today, my party; and, I will take a turkey/cranberry or ham sandwich for me and my catering helper. Then, dinner ... probably just cheese/crackers, fruit, veggies/dip.

This is my party today.
------------------------------------------
My friends brother asked me to throw this. A party for 2 friends and 12 others, and I do have help.
It's a formal mid day party; using all of my friends unique antique plates and platters. Antique pitchers, all white and green flowers, lace table runners, etc. It's outside on the lanai and perfect weather. And, the menus are placed in antique picture frames.
All the prep/set up was yesterday. A few last things to cook; and, done.

Hi Kim, Have a great party -- Looks a magic menú!!!
Happy Sunday everyone - Have a fabulous day!!!!
Today is a bit different - We are meeting friends for lunch at a beach front Chiriguito (Café/Resaurant) situated on edge of the sea!!! Sitting in open air with the sun shining and great view over the sea, we will have a tapas style meal with Boquerones fritos( Fried anchovies) - fried calamari - a large salad and, of course, the low calorie fries!!! All washed down with a couple or so bottles of adult beverages!!
A feast for the day!!!
Dinner will not be needed - A wee snack of some kind will do!!!
Cheers.

DQ, your lunch sounds magical as well. Boy, I would a lunch like that. And, since I love anchovies and calamari ... I'm jealous. Sounds like a great time. ENJOY!

Ellie, after a heavy Thanksgiving ... or even just heading into the holidays. Soup and sammies sound perfect. They are on my menu as well this week.

Last night I had my first cup of Campbell's Low Sodium Healthy Request Cream Of Mushroom Soup, 1/4 cup, and 1/4 cup of fat free Cottage cheese.. I couldn't eat it all but it sure tasted better than what I have been eating this past 10 days with my new sleeve, after having surgery... This Wed. I actually get to start pureed foods.. Yee Haaaaa... Something with some texture :)

This morning had my Chocolate Protein Shake... Lunch Chicken broth with Protein added... Supper... Peanut Butter Cup Shake with protein added and Almond milk... Can't wait to actually eat food again!!!

I bet you will be very happy!! My Mom had jaw surgery ... and she was so happy when she finally got eat pureed foods too. If was like having lobster and steak to her.

It will be all worth it in the end. I'm sure, and I know it is not the easiest thing. Hang in there ... Real food is just around the corner.
