Hi, What a gorgeous looking soup. The problema is that "She who must be obeyed" won't like it. So, I can just dribble a bit!!!!!
Sausage stuufed acorn squash and acorn squash looks as good as yesterday --- pickled cucumbers very tasty.
Are pears and cranberries part of main course -- Interesting combo!!
Have a brilliant day and evening. cheers

I usually saute sausage, onions, garlic, mushrooms, a few sweet peppers (not bell, a little heat - fresno); then stuff the squash. The salad, I grill the romaine; then, I make a small pack of pears and cranberries and add a little cider. I grill in a foil pack for just 5 minutes. I don't want them cooked. JUST warmed and tender. I also used dried cranberries which I just replumped in the cider before adding it to the pack.

Then, I pour the lightly warm fruit over the grilled romaine; and usually a blue cheese dressing.
You can also do balsamic vinaigrette with blue cheese or gorgonzola crumbles

I also add some fine shaved shallots to the lettuce too. The fruit is just nice change from tomato, cucumber, etc. It's not too sweet, especially if you use a blue cheese or balsamic dressing.
